Yesterday saw the first Swedish Barsol Pisco cocktail competition at Ljunggren in Stockholm, organized by Cask & Company. Around 15 bartenders from some of the city’s best bars made their drinks, using any pisco from the Barsol range, in front of celebrity jury Mohamad Manouchi (Cask & Company), Sebastian De La Cruz (S7ofart) and Andrea Patelli (Little Quarter) – and a cheering crowd.

After a few hours of fun and lots of pisco (and mezcal) the jury announced that the best cocktail of the evening was Pisco Disco made by none other than Vincent Johansson from Miss Clara – congratulations!
Here’s Vincent’s winning recipe, enjoy!
50 ml Barsol Selecto Torontel
20 ml lemon juice
40 ml gastrique infused with strawberries and shiso leaves
Put 2-3 strawberries and 1 shiso leaf into a highball glass and muddle. Add the rest of the ingredients, fill with crushed ice and swizzle until ice cold. Add more crushed ice and garnish with a shiso leaf, serve with a straw.
