Cocktails Spirits is a small and fun bar show in Paris, France – and they just announced the dates for the sixth edition – June 2 and 3 – really looking forward to it! Last year I attended the show for the first time, and I met lots of old and new friends – and I also had the chance to visit a number of bars around the city. I actually hadn’t been in Paris since 2006, and back then the number of craft cocktail bars was approximately… zero. Here’s what I managed to cover in two days:
34 rue du grenier St Lazare
A small shop entirely dedicated to rum, rhum arrangés and related food and drink items. Huge selection of caribbean rums, good price too – especially the agricoles. Highly recommended!
LMDW Fine Spirits
6 carrefour de l’Odéon
A shop with great selection of premium spirits, bitters, cocktail books and bar tools – absolutely essential!
166 Boulevard Saint-Germain
Atmospheric and lively tourist trap with not so good rum drinks and lots of fried small bites – could be worse.
13 rue des Beaux-Arts
Small and relaxed library style hotel bar with cosy furniture, well executed cocktails and prompt service.
Le Tiki Lounge
26 bis, rue de la Fontaine au Roi
The first tiki bar in Paris, with a nice variety of tropical drinks and friendly service.
Prescription Cocktail Club
23 rue Mazarine
|Le Tiki Lounge|
16 rue des Bernardins
Experimental Cocktail Club
37 Rue Saint-Sauveur
These three bars need no introduction. The craft cocktail scene in Paris started with Experimental Cocktail Club, and it proved to be so successful that the owners decided to open a couple of more bars in the city.
Le bar at Four Seasons Hotel George V
31, avenue George V
A stylish and very expensive hotel bar with surprisingly adventurous cocktails – not all of them worth the price.
26 rue Francois Miron
Part of a chain of Mexican restaurants and bars, of course specializing in tequila drinks. Also a bit of a tourist trap, but nice atmosphere and serviceable Margaritas.

Four Seasons Hotel George V
52 rue de Saintonge
Highly recommended craft cocktail bar hidden inside a taco shop – very popular and very packed with people having fun and enjoying the great food and drinks.
The ART Room
13 rue tiquetonne
Very dark and stylish three floor bar with killer cocktails and prompt service. The drinks don’t have any names, just numbers, which adds to the mystique.
Le Ballroom du Beefclub
58, rue Jean Jacques Rousseau
The latest cocktail bar from the Experimental Cocktail Club people, in the basement below a hyped American style steakhouse. Absolutely beautiful, with an eclectic cocktail list and perfect execution.
