Congratulations to Spain, the first market to enjoy Pernod Ricard’s new no/low gin offering Beefeater Light and Scotch whisky Ballantine’s Light.
According to Drinks International, Spain is a key market for both brands, and “An IWSR study in 2019 suggested that at least 50% of all Spanish on-trade venues sell drinks from this burgeoning sector”.

While I’m a bit sceptical, I’m also curious to find out if these expressions really deliver “depth of flavour at a lower abv”. Time will tell when people in other markets will be able to enjoy them, so stay tuned for updates!
