A week ago, the finals of Gammel Dansk cocktail competition were held at Hornhuset here in Stockholm. Bartenders had been invited to submit their original cocktail recipes including a minimum of 30 ml Gammel Dansk, and five of them were chosen to present their creations in front of a jury.

After the first round, three bartenders – Oscar Tamker, Christian Grevius (both Gondolen) and Joakim Liljekvist (Farang) – were chosen for the next challenge, to improvise a “classic” cocktail with Gammel Dansk. In the end, Christian Grevius outperformed his opponents with his cocktail making skills and won a trip to the Gammel Dansk distillery in Aalborg and also a visit to Copenhagen – congratulations!
